lady and the tramp

The Consequence of Sound review is correct: there is nothing quite perfect about Sharon Van Etten‘s latest album.  But there’s something lovely about the imperfection, like watching the slow progress of the tide come in up the beach.

“Come home in the morning, drive me to work.  Tell me I’m worth all the miles that you put on your car,”  she sighs (almost sweetly) in “I’m Wrong”.  You’re worth it, lady, and you’re only getting better.
